About Me

Over the years I have always wanted to help people to live their best life, but my main priority and energy went into bringing up the children. Now that my three children are grown and living their own lives, it’s my turn to do what I love - guide and support people who may feel lost, overwhelmed, confused, fearful, want change but don’t know how to change or simply are unhappy with life.

I am a fully qualified Holistic Life Coach & Mind Body Practitioner, and a member of the International Institute for Complementary Therapists. I’m also the author of a book, From Outside the Closet, see details below, with a second book in the making.

I believe I have many life experiences having raised a family with my husband, worked in the family transport business, travelled extensively overseas, have my own business and volunteer work with Thorne Harbour Health who support the LGBTIQ+ community. I also aspire to live a healthy life with regular exercise and eating wholesome food. Having said that, a few drinks while sharing good food with friends can be just as therapeutic!

As a family, we have certainly had our fair share of challenges over the years, but I’m able to look back and see the growth that has come from the hard times. It’s these challenges that have taught me the best lessons, and has lead to a healthier and inspired life. Who doesn’t want that?

As you can see below, we have another member of the family, Reggie. He’s a mini groodle who loves to meet clients when they come to our home. He’s always up for a pat and cuddle.

This is a book for anyone to read that either knows someone who is gay, or is gay themselves. We can never assume that we know how other’s are feeling.

Book Summary

Through the lens of an outsider, the gay world can seem like a kaleidoscope of colour, fun and frivolity, but underneath lurk shame, heartache and sadness. The stories in this book are of men who have faced their fears and come out of the closet to live full and happy lives. Some crept out, some came out running! The stories range from the time when it was illegal to be homosexual, during the AIDS epidemic, through to celebrating marriage equality and increased acceptance in society.

Reading these pages, you’ll gain insight into what it’s really like to belong to a minority group experiencing discrimination and facing struggles that no heterosexual person ever has to endure. Buckle up – it’s a rollercoaster of emotions on which brave men are willing to open their hearts and wounds as they reflect on a life they didn’t choose, and often fought against, to emerge on the other side triumphant.
